The University of Reading Boathouse 
Reading is one of the UK’s elite rowing universities.
With an excellent Boathouse facility only a 15minute bike ride from campus, and over 6km of protected and often undisturbed River Thames, we are the closest University to the legendary Henley-on-Thames (only 10km downstream) and to the new Redgrave Pinsent Rowing Lake (1km).
This stretch of the river is straight and wide enough for effective training and has all the interest and beauty of a natural river setting. Almost whatever the wind does, a sheltered area can be found to train on.
